swim date

I know it is officially fall, so per usual, I am was behind. This is definitely from a couple of months ago but I couldn't resist sharing Henry's swim date with his older gf Ella. Obviously, this is the first "date" of many and both kids thoroughly enjoyed the pool. Miss Ava had to hang out on the sidelines but she will be in the pool come next year!

Lots of fun play dates with the Herrins. We are so lucky to have them move to Atlanta just in time to have our children grow up together.

Nine months

So I know I just posted a picture celebrating Henry's nine month birthday but I cannot help but share a few others from the "shoot". Henry is just getting into everything and it is fun to watch him grow.

"what is this?"

"oh look, I can crush it"

"I am nine months old? I don't believe you."

"haha, daddy is funny"

"dad, can I eat the paper?"

"oh look, I can wrinkle it more."

"what is this?"

"No, really what is this? I want it."

"Okay, okay, I'll give you a smile."

"How about an Elvis smile?"

"Wait, what's over there again?"

As much as Henry would like to be walking already, he is still working on his balance and strength.  But since he never liked tummy time, it has taken him a little while to get a handle on crawling. And by crawling, I mean scooting. He didn't even attempt to crawl until his first week at school. I think those older kids are putting some peer pressure on him. j/k

Don't ask about his 8th month birthday. It just did not happen. August was a perfect storm and thankfully we all lived and had a good time even if it was crazy.

side bar: now I know why they make stickers. My makeshift version doesn't hold up to Henry's able fingers these days.
